 ABOUT THE PROJECT

The South Dublin NEYAI Project is one of 11 projects nationwide.

Our vision is that better outcomes for children, families and the community as a whole can be secured through the delivery of high quality Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) services.

8 ECCE services will participate in the project: 4 Dublin West and 4 Tallaght

AIM

The overall aim of the project is to "address the gaps between training and practice" by developing an innovative and sustainable model for up-skilling the ECCE workforce.

The project is embedded in:
Siolta- National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education
Aistear- Early Childhood Curriculum Framework.

OBJECTIVES

• An on-site "Quality Mentor" will engage with the services to ensure quality practice is achieved through training and mentoring.
• Develop and test a work placement model for new entrants to the ECCE workforce which compliments and influences existing FETAC frameworks.
• Increase Parent and family engagement with the ECCE services
• Identify and provide support for Boards of Management
